Time is flying, it's hard to believe that it has already been one year since we first announced CruiserCustomizing.com to the public.
We weren't sure what to expect in regards to how well our free service would be embraced by the biking public. Starting with only the Honda
cruiser models we signed up 300 members in the first two weeks with over 700 member product reviews.
We didn't have any source of revenue to cover the rising costs of operating the web site, so our most active
members helped us out BIG TIME with their cash donations and we now have over 150 Site Supporters!

In the fall CruiserCustomizing member Trent "doktoreker" Reker
redesigned the web site, designed our logo and gave us a real professional look and feel.
We started partnering with online vendors Bikercom and Accessories International and manufacturers
Roadhouse Brand, Cyclecraft Engineering and Aeromach to offer discounts to CruiserCustomizing members.
By February we had 3000 members with Honda cruisers and because enough Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki
owners bugged us every day we finally released CruiserCustomizing for all metric cruisers (Polaris Victory was also added recently).
In late February Uwe took off on his Aero for a promo tour all over the country that started with a vendor booth
at Daytona Bike Week.
In the next 5 months he rode 25,000 miles to attend
Arizona Bike Week,
Laughlin River Run,
Myrtle Beach Bike Week and Rolling Thunder,
Americade Touring Rally and Laconia Bike Week,
the Honda Hoot, and Wing Ding rally. Somewhere along the way Uwe test rode the new Goldwing 1800 and
couldn't resist owning one. As a by-product we also launched GoldwingCustomizing
to offer the same service to Goldwing riders.
Our first CruiserCustomizing Giveaway in April this year proved to be very popular with
our members. After all, who doesn't like to win free accessories? ;-)
In May we took another big step and started selling accessories from selected manufacturers directly
through our web site and over the phone. We now sell 40 different brands
and are picking up 2 or 3 more brands every week.
The reviews on CruiserCustomizing combined with Dennis' product knowledge are
a winning combination, and we already have customers that have placed 3 or more different orders

In just one year we now have over 7,000 products, 13,000 members, 23,000 product reviews and the recent writeup of
CruiserCustomizing in Roadbike magazine proves that we are on the right track.
It's impossible to mention all of our friends, supporters, vendors and partners on one page.
We are deeply committed to all of you and want to thank you BIG TIME for making this happen,
we are having a great time serving you!

We will close our office this coming Saturday and will
go for a member appreciation ride in the San Francisco Bay
Area to our favorite biker hangout: Alice's restaurant on Skyline drive.
Everybody is invited to join. We are leaving from Fremont
Saturday morning, 7/27, 10:00AM at the Newpark Mall parking lot,
in front of the Sears Auto Center right off of Mowry Ave. From there
we will head south on 880 to Los Gatos to the Texaco station on the
corner of Hwy. 9 and N. Santa Cruz Ave. (2 blocks west of Hwy. 17) and
leave from there at approximately 10:45am. We should arrive at Alice's
by 12 noon for burgers or a late breakfast. From there maybe we'll head
down the coast to Santa Cruz or...?
