I am sure it will do much better at night. A little pricy but what price can you put on safety! Seriously, do not touch the glass part of the lamp with bare fingers! If you do, clean it with alcohol and a soft cotton cloth. Oils from your skin can cause the glass to crack or shatter at operating temperature. I also adjusted the light as follows: Measure 17 feet from a wall, on flat level surface, to your hadlight. Sitting on the bike have a helper measure from the ground up to the center of the light. Mark the wall 2 inches lower than the headlight center and adjust (up or down) the light on low beam to just touch the mark on the wall and adjust the left and right adjustment to center the light beam. I also used this method to adjust my fork mounted driving lights. I actually purchased my bulb from J&P Cycles, I ordered on a Sunday evening and received the bulb by USPS on Wednesday.
