What a great shock! I went with the the member reviews and got the 11 1/2 in. It definetely drops the rear end to give it a chopper look. I always hated that big gap. Very easy to install. Left shock on lowest setting with my wife on the back, and handled great.

I bought these along with progressive fork springs. The bike rides better than new. Definitely the best bang for your buck improvement you can make for the ride and handling of your bike.

I have had them now for approximately one month. They BLOW AWAY the stock shocks! What was I waiting for! Although I have not put my wife on the back yet and adjusted the setting (currently on lowest setting), I expect them to perform as well as they do now. Installation was easy. It took maybe 45 minutes total, taking my time.

Great difference in the ride. I love the way they feel. Been looking for bumps on purpose......Very pleased. Much better than the stocks. I got the 12" standard after reading reviews on here because I was afraid of lowering the back too much. I should have got the 11.5" standards as the 12 inch model looks like it did indeed lower it only 1/2 an inch .Not much of a height difference at all. Go with the 11.5's. I bought them right here from C.C. Free shipping. They were delivered in less than a weeks time. I had them on the bike that same day Having a Sears/Craftsmen lift made the installation easy as pie.

CruiserCustominzing processed this order really fast, Shipped it and provided tracking numbers for me. Great place to shop. The 11.0 inch 412 shocks are on a '95 VS800 Intruder. I Originally ordered them for my '95 1400 Intruder. And found they would also work on the 95 800 Intruder- Cool. INSTALLATION Set the Original Suzuki shocks to their lowest setting first. Before you jack up the bike, loosen all four nuts on the original shocks. Next Bind down the Front Brake lever to compress the calipers to keep the front wheel from turning. I used a 1" X 4 " X 24" board placed on an automotive sissor jack under the Battery Box. (have extra blocks available to stack under the Kickstand as well as the 1X4 as you raise the bike) With the 24" board extending out the left and right side, have a friend hold the bike true vertical. Raise the bike up an inch or so and place 1 inch blocks under the 24" board. The bike is always resting on 5 points, The front Tire, the Kick Stand and ...

These shocks were very easy to install. I didn't realize how bad the old shocks were until I replaced them with the new ones. Before whenever I went over a pretty good depression, the rear would bottom out. After I installed the new ones, I took the bike for a ride and purposely went over small depressions in the road and the bike was fine. Whenever I had my wife on the bike, I had to be extremely careful of depressions, even though the shocks were adjusted to the firmest setting. My wife can't wait til the weather warms up so she can feel the difference in how the bike rides.

I ordered 11.5 inch shocks to lower my bike 1". It is definitely lower although I have not noticed a huge difference in the handling. Bike looks better!
