CruiserCustomizing Staff Pick
Cruise Control¨ fork lowering kits are available for most models. These kits, when combined with shorter than stock rear shocks, will give you that low, custom look. Our Cruise Control kits come complete with our famous Progressive rate Fork Springs, spacers, and instructions.

WARNING! Installing a lowering kit WILL decrease initial ground clearance. The motorcycle will be lower to the ground and care should be taken to avoid bottoming, especially over bumps or in turns. To maintain proper balanced geometry, we recommend lowering the motorcycle in the rear the same amount as the front.

CruiserCustomizing Staff Pick

Overall Ratings: (5 stars) Reviewed on 10/27/04 by
CruiserCustomizing Staff: Kyle Bradshaw (ManyBikes) from Livermore, CA for a 2003 1300 VTX1300R (S) Retro:

The stock springs were worthless! Too soft, noisy, and clinch causing when tackling large bumps. These springs would make ANY VTX1300S ride much much better. Like the shocks.... I hated them the first two weeks I rode on them, but I now wonder how I ever did without them! I did not use the lowering springs that came in the kit. I figured I drag board (not any more... now its frame!) enough I did not need to be any lower to the ground. The installation of the springs actually raised the bike almost an inch. (Stupid saggy stock springs!) Great buy!

A must have for Maggy. No more dive when you get on the binders. when I launch her the front wheel feels like it wants to come off the ground instead of extending the front end...lol. no more wandering. no more shaking at 65 mph plus. maggy has 22,000 miles on her. I put the one inch lowering kit in to match the 11.5" proggressive's 418's I put on the back. the old fork spring must have sagged cuz it was one inch lower then my brothers magna before i put the proggressive lowering and spring kit in. now it is still one inch lower then his...awesome. I may lower it another inch. I put the whole kit in with the forks off the bike without seprating the uppers from the lowers....because i wanted to save my seals....when i add the extra rebound spring and cut the spacer another inch to lower the bike a total of two inches i will put new seals and dust boots on. If you wanna know how i added the lowering kit without seperating the forks then message me.
