No need to cut the spacers. They are the same length as stock springs, only heavier and with a tighter wind on one end.

worth the money. twice as long as th stock springs. O beat the chees out of the stock ones way to quick, less than a year driven between la and sandiego. progressive is really worth the money, even if the factory ones are still good.

Very noticeable difference in "dive" during braking, the bike was bottoming out during hard braking on the rough streets of Michigan. But not any more! Also gives me a nice ride otherwise.

Outstaning modification. Stock springs are like riding a marshmallow. These dramatically improve the ride, handling, looks and confidence in high-speed cornering. A must for heavier riders, like me!!!! Install was easy...had to cut a stock spacer to have 4" spacers in each leg...kept 1 spacer in stock form. Springs/forks now make slight noise...only noticed when engine is off.

Probably the best bang for my buck to improve the ride quality of of my VS800 Intruder. Along with the progressive 412 heavy duty, the bike rides better than new.

I simply can not believe the difference in the ride with both progressives front and back. These are definitely the best addition to the bike. Make the shocks and springs your first accessories, trust me.

I have the Progressive fork lowering kit. Haven't noticed a huge difference in handling. The bike is 1" lower with the lowered progressive rear shocks.
