I've had many different brands over the years. These are a thick, quality leather. Solid fit with a thick palm. And they put a rough, unfinished leather on the palm providing a much better grip, no slipping. Very quality. If anything changes I'll be sure to update my review. A year ago I paid over twice as much for similar gloves that fit only half as well as these ones do. The leather is not too stiff and the perfs make these a real treat on the really hot days. Some reviews suggested sizing issues - I didn't find this to be the case. My normal glove size is XL, I ordered XL, and they fit perfectly. For the price, these are a steal.
