Would not recommend hooking up to your one and only brake light. Blinks too slow. Check out the one on ebay from a seller named onlinefreetrader. It has 37 different modes and it's tiny. Gives the appearance of a strobe light that you can set, or you can turn it off to allow the brake light to act normally. I use it to strobe 3 times then turn solid and I think it gives me more visibility than the stock light.
