It holds my coffee cup and half bottled water perfectly but i can't say the same for a full bottled water yet,everything was ok until i hit a bump and the cupholder with the bottled water started to turn sideways (almost upside down) on the highway! I had to pull over and adjust it but the turning continued, i think it might be because i had it in the insulation pocket and this caused some kind of top heavy issue but i will try it again without the insulation and add to review.
