Both mufflers appear to have good crome plating with good welding and nice seems. The only item included with mufflers was a cross over tume. Directions state you are to use oem muffler clamps and reducer. The reducer is almost impossible to get off original mufflers without destroying the muffler. Local Suzuki dealer said you can not buy the reducer by itself-must buy muffler with reducer included. Fabricated my own reducer from AutoZone stock. Both mufflers attach as oem mufflers with one small exception. The Jardine flange is not as deep so you must get smaller mounting bolts. You will then find upun mounting mufflers there is not enough room to loosen battery box bolts. It looks like every time you add water or change batteries you will have to drop the left and right muffler. The balane tube has no slits for attaching with clamps. It's a plane tube with instructions stating you are to use silicone sealer-I guess it would be like gluing it on. I still find it hard to believe- the right muffler is about 1in. to short for the right side head pipe. If you would try and grind out the mounting flange muffler hole to slide muffler forward the balance tube would not fit. It appears the only hope of getting a tight exhaust fit is to buy a quart of silicone sealer and 2 yards of muffler bandage. Engineering on this is laughable. I'm returning. Look elsewhere for a slip on muffler. Review Pros: Review Cons: Review Improvements: Review Tools: 8 out of 9 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? |
