Metzeler ME 880 Marathon 150/80H-16 FrontReviewed by: Scott Homuth (HOMUTHS) Reviewed for: 2000 1500 Vulcan Nomad Used for: < 1 month Ratings: Overall Rating: 5
Tire lasted: 5000-10000 miles Value: 5 Would buy again: yes Review Summary: Time to change Tires from my OEM BRIDGESTONE's after only 8,500 Miles, decided to go with the METZELER ME 880 Marathon's. - Built to handle the higher loads and handling characteristics of cruiser and touring bikes - Front tires feature rounded tread profile for smooth, neutral steering - Rear tires feature flatter tread profile and larger contact patch for better traction and mileage - Computer-designed tread pattern with offset groove alignment for uniform wear characteristics, low noise - Tread pattern has excellent water displacement ability and stability over rain grooves and under hard braking - Available in blackwall, wide white sidewalls (WWW) and narrow white sidewalls (NWS) - H-rating is good for speeds up to 130 mph, V-rating is good for speeds up to 149mph, and Z-rating is good for speeds over 149mph. After my first 100 miles on these new tires, I am completely satisfied with how quiet and smooth a ride they provide. A vast improvement over the original OEM Bridgestones.
