You have to be careful putting it on and the heat shrink the send with the kit is useless as it is too big. PS: I have mixed reviews on it after a year's worth of wear. Pressure washers expand it but, with a little effort you can get it back into position. One other problem I had is that my covered speedo cable started wearing through the cable guide; the clear heat shrink they send is just enough to cover the cable where it goes through the guide and stop additional wear. They send one roughly 8 inch length of clear heat shrink with it. The heat shrink is too large for things like the throttle cables or the wires. Head out to your local auto store and pick up the color and size that you want. The cable ties they send are the other option; they don't keep the tension on cover necessary to keep a smooth look. You may want to ensure you can get your hands on a soldering gun. You use that instead of cutting the ends of the covering to stop it from unraveling. My only other hint to you is to cover rough edges with electrical tape. Taper it to a point over irregularities, ie your speedo ferule. That extra little care stops it from twisting the strands as it catches up on sharp edges. Review Pros: Review Cons: Review Improvements: Review Tools: 4 out of 4 members found this review helpful.
