Review Summary:
I have 2 bikes (VTX & RSV). These were a great addition to RSV. Sounds like a small block V-8 at lower RPMs. I did NOT rejet carb. Only has very faint backfire on decel at lower RPMs. Fuel MPG not yet determined, but sound is GREAT!!! I did NOT add any of the pipe tips for cosmetics, just the slip on pipes. Updated 01-Apr-09 Several thousand miles on now, after these pipes were initially installed. Fuel MPG either not affected or only so little it's negligible. * NOTE: the clamp attaching the header pipe to this exhaust pipe would not sufficiently clamp down to prevent an exhuast leak at that junction. I got some muffler wrap (plastic adhesive wrapping) from the local Auto Parts Store, and taped up the tail-end tip of the engine header pipe then reconnected. Sealant is not visible, seal is significantly improved and leak is almost (almost!!!) gone. But gone enough to live with.
