Review Summary:
I just received these (2) today and installed them in my Cobra Speedster Slashdown pipes. It was relatively easy to unscrew and slide out the existing open baffles and slide in and secure these new ones, and although it does quiet the exhaust noise down slightly, it's not nearly as much of a difference as I thought it would be. (I guess I should have trusted that rating of 3~5 decibles more, which isn't really very much at all.) One thing that surprised me as soon as I opened the box was that they are not the 15" as advertised, they are just over 8" long, and say on the wrapper that they fit 8 5/8" to 15" bodies. Because of that fact they are not as long as the advertised picture makes them look. I guess that's not really a problem, but I would think a longer baffle would cut down the noise level more than these short ones. Installation tip: very long nose needle nose pliers help to grasp and pull out the existing baffles. Update: I've since removed these baffles, as I think they actually made the sound around me as I'm riding louder, keeping the noise from going straight back out the pipe, and also restricting the air flow more than I wanted.
