Review Summary:
I feel a cruiser isn't complete without a lightbar, but found something wrong with every lightbar in every review I read. Based upon my dealer recommending the Cobra Steel Lightbar, I decided to take the plunge...and I'm glad I did! The picture on Cruiser Customizing is incorrect, as the stock blinkers will mount to the side of the spot lights and not underneath them (I'm glad it came that way and like the appearance much better). The install is time consuming from a mechanical standpoint, but the electrical is extremely easy. If you want this to fit the VTX 1300R with a windshield (I have the Custom World International 23 inch INDY windshield), you will need to purchase the relocator kit BLV-40030. In addition, you will need to go to your local hardware store (Lowe's or Home Depot) and buy two M8-1.25x70 flange bolts with lock nuts. There are two different lengths of spacers sent with the lightbar, and you will need to use the longest set; however, the bolts Cobra sends for the longer spacers are 55's and you will need 70's. I purchased the 4 1/2 visors to complete the look and am very pleased. Once installed, the lights are adjustable up/down and left/right. Another reason I went with Cobra instead of Hondaline, as the Hondaline is NOT adjustable based upon customer reviews, and all customers say they get flashed by oncoming cars thinking their brights are on. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would buy this lighbar/relocator kit/visors again!
