05/30/09 My first fatty bar arrived after 10 days. I thought that was a little long for something instock and being shipped from Calf. to Washington State. When they arrive, I inspected the bar and found a 3/8 diameter obvious flaw in the chrome. Someone was sleeping at the Cobra plant not to see this. I returned it the same day, UPS. No hassel from C.C. The replacement showed up in 7days. It looked great! That evening, I installed it. You can only mount it one way with the three holes provided. The bolts slid right into place and I tightened them down. Then I noticed the the bar is very crooked on the bike. The shifter side, the bar clears the front of the floorboard by 7/8" and the brake side by about 1/4". Standing in front of the bike and on the bike and from behind, it looks and is very crooked. After scratching my head for a while with disapointment, I drilling a new mount hole in the bar on the shifter side, exactly a 1/2" forward, next to the existing mount hole and bolted it down. Now it looks straight. You can't even see the mount bolt under the board anyway. Cobra needs to go back to the drawing board on this one. For 178.00, I shouldn't have to redrill anything. I love the look of the bar, but unless you are OK with redrilling the left mount hole location, don't buy it. It will look crooked on the bike. Other than all that, the fat bar looks awesome. No doubt!
