Ease of install: 3 Value: 5 Would buy again: yes Improving the ride: 5 Review Summary: With 42,000 miles on bike ... it was time for new shock. Install from start to finish took about 2 hours. On top I removed seat, inition modual and moved the fuel filter to the side. On right side, removed the battery and the 5 bolts holding the batt tray in (middle bolt attaches to the tool tray on other side) On left side, I removed remaining AIS junk, tools and the 3-4 bolts/screws holding the tray in and also the bottom chrome drive train cover. Lossin the bolt that is for dog bones, then remove both top and bottom bolt of shock and remove out the top. I set the shock up for 3 and left the main part of the shock preset from factory. I weight about 200 and bike is set up for solo. RIDES BETTER than the day I baught it NEW. No more wishy ... washy around the corners.
