Review Summary:
Installed on my 2009 Honda Shadow Spirit this past weekend in preparing it for sale. Over all installation was not too bad. Need a rubber mallet and wd-40 to lube header pipe so that it will fit into muffler. Also make sure you do not torque exhaust frame bolts above 25 Nm, if you go with service manual 44 Nm the bolt will shear. These pipes are loud compared to stock pipes. Not as loud as straight pipes, and deep throaty sound. I installed Kuryakyn Hypercharger and re-jetted carb at same time. In my 30 min test ride bike had more hp and torque, letting run @ 35 mph in 5th gear at just over 2k rpm with no lugging. Will pull from there, but if you are passing woul need to down shift first. No back firing or poping experienced. Ears were ringing a bit at the end of 30 min test ride. If you start your ride early in morning or late at night your neighbors will not appreciate these pipes.
