These Highway mounts are awesome, made from solid billet aluminum with a great chrome finish. I love the design and adjustability. The total length of the HD004 (out from the frame down tube) is 12". I would suggest the additional purchase of RIVCO's PEGSEXT or PEGEXT-3 extensions to keep your legs farther away from the engine on all Harley-Davidson models (or your knee will rest on the air cleaner). The extensions mount between the peg and the highway mount. The PEGSEXT is a 2" extension; this gives you a total of 14" out from the frame down tube. The PEGSEXT-3 is a 3" extension; this gives you 15" out from the frame down tube. I have a 2006 Dyna Street Bob and I use the HD004 (1 1/2" highway mount) with the PEGSEXT-3 extension and I am 5' 7" with a 34" pant leg. I am very, very happy with these mounts. I have the rubber pads on the HD004 turned up so that I can rest the back of heel on them and allow the wind to go up my pant leg, this is great in the summer. These mounts are designed for bikes that have two down tubes that are NOT parallel (they must be closer at the top and farther away from each other at the bottom). The mounts are also designed for bikes that DO NOT have a radiator, as this will not allow proper install or fitment of the mounts. I always recommend that you measure your down tube size to ensure fitment BEFORE you purchase any of the HD002 (1 1/8"), HD003 (1 1/4") or HD004 (1 1/2") mounts. I also suggest putting some electrical tape on your frame tubes so that you can "mock up" your install before you actually tighten everything down. This will allow you to get the proper adjustment and proper fit for you by allowing you to move the mounts without causing paint damage to your frame. Keep in mind that any time you mount something to a painted surface there will be some paint damage. PLEASE MEASURE TO BE SURE they will fit your bike.
