Review Summary:
Took about 2 hours to install, but that was mainly due to faffing around trying to figure where the best place to mount the tacho was. On the V-Star Classic, you need to remove the seat, then undo the tank and pull it back to remove the plastic steering head covers. Connect to the coil on the right hand side [one with the orange negative wire]: red and yellow to positive on the coil [red wire], green to negative [orange wire], and the black wire to one of the bolts holding the coil to the frame. Pretty easy once you know where to connect it to and what wires to where. The attached cable on the tacho is not very long, so you are limited in positioning the tacho unless you add more wire. The blue light is a bit too much in my opinion, but otherwise works a treat and certainly helps you know where the engine is at as you're riding along.
