This helmet comes as close to an Aviator's style helmet as any helmet I've seen with its capability to provide the rider with a panoramic drop-down shade (a 2 setting feature so that one is low and the 2nd is even lower for your eyes) which has a one button release a spring loaded return to its storage position. HJC has mastered the flip-up on this helmet. The helmet has some BMW type styling to its lines which makes it look a bit more angular and stylish as opposed to earlier versions. Real story: Purchased this at the local Honda Dealer before heading across country. Photos on the site show this helmet on as I prepare to ride. And, I encouraged my road-mate to purchase one as well. He said, nope, not gonna, it's too gadegty and I will do fine with my half-shell. Then the day came in Northern New Mexico at 7800 feet, a blizzard, with snow sticking to the windshield and winds hitting us at 25 knots. As soon as we descended into Farmington (near the 4 corners) he ran to the dealership and purchased one like this that I had. He praises it now and wished he had purchased before the trip.
