Put my hands in a more comfortable position. Still got the pain on the second day, but I did alot of riding in 4 days. chrome finish was nice. read intructions and follow them to keep from getting any unnecessary scratchs. The bars mount onto an angled surface so the more vertical distance also adds up as more horizontal (rearward) distance, not simply how much bend is in the riser.  If anyone has a direct side picture of these installed it would clear up all uncertainty, or some quick measurements of the directly horizontal plane would be amazing.  Thanks everyone!!
