Time to upgrade to a louder & better sounding horn. Wasn't sure if I wanted to go the electric horn route or the air horn style. Since the electric horns were almost $70.00 cheaper, I went with the electric horns. Will update once unit is installed. Update: 05/24/10 Installed and sounds great. Had them installed in the same spot where the original horn was removed. No problems.

I actually purchased the Stebel Nautilus Air Horn. Buddy had one on his VTX 1300R so I knew it would work. Mounted it near the coolant reservoir under the bike.

Went to local Auto Zone and picked up a low tone 130 decible horn for $14.95. The sound is unreal, it will surely BLOW the ignorance out of the people who drive on four wheels. If they can't see me, now they can HEAR me. Simple to add on the bike, ten minutes tops to install. Did not need the 30 amp relay.

I hated the sound of the meep-meep horn, saw the way the horn was mounted on the 1800 VTX! Bought a set of 132 decibel high & low tone Highway Blasters from Orielly auto parts. tried to have them chromed but no luck!

Just installed these babys man are they loud, just what I wanted to show these ladies driving with cell phones that I am there.I used the relay like Rivco suggest and they work great.I had to design my own bracket from stainless so I could mount them on my road bar. I thought the pieces that came with the horns were really flimsey. My brother installed without on his Valkrey and they don`t seem to get enough juice to make them blow right.
