I bought this on ebay, I hate to buy from anyone but cruiser customizing but the price was unbeatable and it was new in factory box. The sound is awsome. They will hear me coming now. It was a breeze to install took about 20 min start to finish. I am very happy with this horn.

Good safety feature. Horn can be heard while riding in high speed traffic.

I put these on last night and am really happy with them. The horns themselves look great, but the black mesh air line does not exactly float my boat. I will be chanding to a chrome or stainless mesh line ASAP. The instuctions said 25-30 minutes to install, but it took me over an hour. I did not have to rig anything, everything fit just as it was supposed to. It was not a difficult installation, just time consuming. They are good and loud, but much more hi-pitched than I was expecting. I like 'em though, and would recommend them.

A moderately bitchy installation -- I had to hit Home Depot to snag a couple of male connectors that weren't included in the package, plus the compressor blocks the VTX 'storage compartment' -- but these are the Real Thing when it come to horns: very loud, and they'll get attention when you sound 'em. Pretty, too. Also, I'll note that they're quite responsive; I was a bit leery that there would be a noticeable delay between hitting the button and hearing the horn, but I was wrong, they're virtually "instant on", which is good.

I love air horns. Nothing like them to someones attention that can't see a 700 pound motorcycle with 3 headlights approching. These are the third pair of horns installed on different bikes. It takes some effort to install them but the net results are worth the time and price. Another very attractive addition to the VTX.

I've had RIVCO air horns for a long time. The first set on my 1994 Vulcan 1500A. That design is nolinger available as the compressor was mated to the horns in a nice spun aluminum shell. I currently have them on my Honda VTX 1800. I couldn't be more pleased. The first batch sent out, around December of 2001 had a less than quality hose per Rich the owner of RIVCO. Upon my note to him ha sent a new better quality hose and a new clamp to remount the compressor at the front of the control arm just ahead of the rear tire. This was done so a not to use the left side cover and block the tool box. Great sound..cars DO hear it!

I installed these horns about four weeks ago on my VTX. The exact set has been on my Vulcan 1500 A since 1994. The old ones looks about like the new ones for fit and finish..and that is saying a lot for the age of them. Super sound....folks "move over" when they hear it. So far the horns have kept me safe more than a couple times..even against an SUV full of kids and a mom. The only complaint I have is the new tubing. It is covered by a good looking nylon weave, however the quality of the tubing isn't near the older set. 3/8 auto hose would have (and is now) better. Installation is a breeze. Fitting behind the left side cover. Mounting is easy as well. I have highway bars/footpegs from Custom World., so the mounting had to be changed slightly. But all the parts came with the kit as needed. Also, the horns mount on the left side of the bike..I suppose they could be on the right side..but the left definately looks better...despite the add pictures that show the right side. Rivco has ...
