    The bags are overall very adequate for the price. I really like the forward opening feature compared to the side opening feature on most bags. The installation of the bags were very easy except for the mismatched bolts that were included with the bags. I had to go to the local hardware store and buy some shorter bolts. They are holding up pretty well without any slouching and look great on my '09 VN900 Custom SE. The one thing I would change on the bags is you have to drill 1 inch holes by yourself for hard mounting on the bike. Because the holes were not pre-drilled, I had to line up everything and drill the holes carefully as to not to interfere with the inside flap of the lid. It has velcro on the sides to help with the closure of the bag which is great for weather tight, but a pain for opening and closing the bag. For the price I paid, they are very well put together and serve their purpose. I have managed to stuff quite a bit of stuff in the bags going on day trips. These a...
