I just bought this item and installed it onto my VLX600. They fit well even without relocating the turn signals on the bike and they look good too. I recommend buying the support brackets for the bags also to help hold them in place. The bags are actually built much better than I expected. It was a pleasent surprise.

Bags looks great on my '06 Shadow 600. It was a bit fussy to secure it and 'fit' tight to the guard rail. It is not quickly removable the way I had to steathily secure it with tiny black bungies, but I don't expect to be removing them often. It was worth the effort of install for the space. I was tired of a tank bag covering the beauty of the tank!

Have the studded version of this bag. It works well, but they hang a little low on my VLX. I hadn't even though of hard mounting them until reading some of these other reviews here today. I'm going to try that. I bet I can come up with something that is both hard mounted *and* quick release. Hmmm..
