Just added saddle bags to my bike and was looking at a lot of brackets and bags, finally went with Leatherneck Jims made in the USA heavy duty Leather and what a great choice and these brackets and bags are the best out there. When you want to wash your bike or take it in for service these brackets are attached right to the bag and with a turn of a key the bags and bracket are off leaving the bolts. Only thing is when you install make sure you have two people and first use a strong tape(I used duct tape) to hole the bracket onto the bag before you drill to make sure both sides are level and looking at both bags on the bike again before drilling and make the final attachment of the bracket to the bag. When you attach the bags the washers are way to same so I went to the hardware store and picked up bigger washers which will hold more weight to the bracket making it more secure. The washer cost me a big total of .75 cents. The bags I got were the Desperado with the stud around the fron...

Smaller than I expected. They match my mustang seat good. I had ordered a different brand and sent them back. Much happier with these.

Sadlemans sizing descriptions are worthless. I thought "Jumbo" would be BIG! (I didn't see that they has 2-4 larger bags) So when I mounted these to my 2003 VTX 1800 it looked ridiculuous! The quality of the bags is good. Their "QUICK RELEASE" system is stupid and a pain in the butt. I reccomend getting the "Ghost brackets" for quick and easy removal. I had to fabricate a metal plate for the inside of the bags, to mound with the ghost bracket. The plastic inside wall ripped. I was on a long tripand the plastic cracked and tore. I got nervous it was going to fall off. I cut a piece of steel about the same size as the bracket, then drilled holes to match up. No problems now. * I upgraded to the "Extra extra Jumbo" bags now.

nice looking bags, but they don't hold up for very long if used. the backing on the bags will break easily when used often.

These are the perfect size for the 1800 retro. I purchased the easy brackets to mount them with. Install note. Since you cant mount the easy bracket with the mounting system that comes with the bags you have to take them off. What I did is put weather proof tape over the holes and mounted the easy braket on top of the tape to make sure no water could get in.
