Well, The XL gel pad is like a Medium one-it's not big enough-, after riding for about 1 1/2 hours [100 miles] you need to stretch anyways, I'd say it improves 30% the comfort, but it's not like this is heaven, you can ride a little longer without that ached butt. Get the wooden beads, it's cheaper and it cools down your butt.

I carved a recessed area out of the foam in my stock seat, then covered the whole thing with the Mustang Seat Cover, and viola! Instant custom seat! On short rides, I don't really notice a difference between this pad and the stock seat foam, but I did notice that on longer rides, at least so far, my butt dosen't hurt and my legs don't fall asleep like they used to. The only thing I would say negatively about this is that it really is raw. Very sticky and not in any type of protective plastic. Otherwise, Awesome.

Not perfect, but does the job. Had a leatheric cover made with an opening on the back, so it would stick to the seat. Do not need to use any straps to hold in place. Can feel the difference on a 2-3 hour ride. Other than buying a custom seat, this does the trick.
