just bought the saddleman solo seat,drove about 150 miles on it,had to stop 4 times my behind hurt so much.was not happy at all.i returned it to where i bought it.i ordered another brand to replace this one...........very sad.......

This seat definitely sits you lower and more forward than the stock seat. I am 5'7" and now find the foot-brake very easy to reach and the bars just that bit closer to be more comfortable. However, I found that I felt more "doubled-up" with this seat than stock and with the narrower seat the bike feels much smaller now - not certain yet whether this is a good or a bad thing. Very easily flat-foot on the ground [not that I had any problem before] and there is much more fore and aft movement due to the narrowness of the seat making the bike easier to scoot around with. Haven't found the seat to be overly comfortable, however I have not been on a very long ride as of yet, so time may tell a different story. I fitted my tailored-fit sheepy-hollow sheep-skin cover on the seat and it fits better than on the stock seat for which it was designed. UPDATE 07/05/11: Did over 4 hours in the saddle yesterday with a half hour break in the middle of the run: no numb-bum what so ever and no stiffness...

After looking around for almost a year for that "perfect seat", I came a cross a deal on a forum for this seat for $50. Figured what could I loose? It was by far the best accessory I have purchased. I haven't riden on Corbin or Mustang, but I have riden 4 hrs straight, besides gas stop, and had no problems with my rear falling asleep. The gel in this seat really absorbs a lot of the road vibration better that I had expected. I recommend this seat to everyone I ride with and it fits the V Star perfect.

Installs in minutes. Much smaller than the stock "tractor seat" but sits lower and I feel more in contact with my bike. However, it does move me a bit forward (I'm 6'2") I need to get those pegs on my engine guard to stretch out. It does provides the back support I was looking for.
