I took this bag on an 850 miles trip. My buddys were jelous when at the end of the day I put on the shoulder strap and had one bag to haul in to the hotel. it holds a lot, I even had enough room for my half cover. I only ran into a little rain and I had my belongings in plastic bags so I can't say much about waterproofing. I'm definalty happy with this purchase.
