Bag is nice and roomy and I like the rigid construction but the mounting option was junk. It included 2 bungie cords to mount it to the sissybar. I hate bungie cords. Had to make a trip to Wal-Mart to pickup some nylon straps with buckles from camping supplies to properly mount this.

I was quite happy with the Saddlemen SSR1900 as far as storage and all it's compartments. Until, it rained one day. This bag is not the least bit weather proof. It appears the water leaks through all the zippers. They lay flat and have no flaps to cover Everything in each compartment got soaked. I've owned other bag that this never happened, like Dowco Jumbo Rally, but zipper failed on it in just a few years.

Nice bag good fit on the VLX. It will hold alot of stuff. The mounting system works, but could be better. I have one zipper that sticks and I have to go real slow with it so it closes fully. other than that its a good bag for the price. Update 7-22-09 The zipper finally gave out last week. I have to shop for a new bag. You get what you pay for.
