hello and thanks in advance for any and all help, i have a 09 kaw 900 custom and i have lower back issues, i was wondering if the profiler is a good seat or if you could recommened one for lower back support i dont really want to take away form the smooth look of the bike but im open to suggestions for back support cuz right now i cant stand to right the bike more than 30 mins before my lower back and but hurt and go numb from pain, also i have forward controls on the bike and really dont want to remove them so a seat that remains factory postion front to back of a seat that moves me closer slightly would be great im ok with a sitting a little lower on the bike please any information would be great i do like the look and the price of this profiler

                thanks again, adam

Beachy is very correct with ergonomics. I have issues with my back also.. Finally got a backrest for my Triumph Speedmaster. Also added the AirHawk R air cushion. makes a huge difference on the my rear end not getting numb

Soften your suspension first. It may be set too hard and this will jar you back something cruel. I also have lower back issues and softer suspension and a gel seat made a hell of a difference for me. Also look at your handlebar set up. If you are reaching forward this will also put undue strain on your back so you may need to bring your bars back a bit closer and higher. The profiler seat looks as if it will support part of your lowe back but maybe you need to also consider a Mustang seat with a drivers backrest as well. THere are a lot of things to reduce the strain on lower back but ergonomics is the best place to start.
Have a look at this site and see how ergonomic you are on your bike.
