I read a lot of reviews on this intercom system by Scala rider TeamSet, some were bad and some were good, was very skeptical in buying but I did anyway because we needed some way to comunicate between me and my passenger (my wife) so I took a chance. Plugged in the charger and they were charged in about 3 hours (that was fast). While they were charging I mounted the microphones and speakers into our helmets. The velcro sticks very well to the material inside the helmet, sometimes it was hard to move them. When mounting the system to the side of the helmet I couldn't use the clamp method on mine so I used the glue mount, worked great. On my wife's helmet I used the clamp method (very solid mount) . When it came time to bluetooth the intercoms to our phones my android hooked right up but my wife's Iphone took a couple of times. While riding we talked back and forth, the volume was great as long as the speakers were next to your ear. But when my wife got a phone call she had to tu...

We have half face helmets. This product has too much static at highway speeds. Can't understand the conversation with the passenger on the back. I would not recommend this product in windy areas. Maybe it works better with full face helmets. The company claims it should work on my style of helmet. (not so).

I got this system 2 weeks ago after doing lots of research and feel I`ve made a good choice. The intercom can be used bike to bike if they are fairly close together (approx. 30 ft. max.), Clarity exceeds what I expected and the sound if good. Volume works well. The intercom is voice activated and at about 110 km, wind sometimes turned it on, but, you can turn off the voice control and turn the intercom on and off manualy. This does not affect the phone or GPS and you can still recieve and make calls via voice. Very handy feature! One thing they don`t say is that GPS`s don`t all pair. I called Scala and the Garmin nuvi series does not pair. The Zumos will as will Tom Tom 1st and 2nd edition. My phone is not VOX but the unit will answer incoming calls simply by speaking. It will also dial last number by tapping the call button which is fine with me because it`s usually incoming calls one wants to catch. Each set will pair with it`s own device, so if your passanger has a phone, it will w...
