Very easy to install. Just cut the ignition kill wire and splice both wires to the two wires on this unit. (If you would like exact directions on the VStar 1100, email me) . When activated It opens the contacts, kills the engine, just the same as if you hit the kill switch on the handle bars.

a must have add on. this kills the ignition either remotley, or thru the alarm on the bike...something that will definatly deter a would-be bike theif. works best with a rotor lock (they could just roll the bike off...).its not very large (about 1" cube), and fit well next to the main alarm unit, which i put inside my battery cover. this unit *does* requre you to do some wiring (splice into the ignition system...which is a bit tricky to find the right wire if you don't know what your looking for). it comes with 2 crimps (for your splices)...that i oped not to use. i don't trust crimps. i reccomend solder / heat shrink tubing for maximum durability. crimps have a tendancy to come off (even if you have a crimper)...and that would not be good on an igniton system.
