I also purchased a new helmet at the same time. The intercom was very easy to install and it performs as the manufacturer claims. I'm very happy with the quality of the sound, volumn, and ease of use. The set came pre-paired from the factory. This is my first ntercom, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I would recommend it to anyone. I mounted it on a Bell MAG-9 helmet and the control unit get in the way of the helmets internal visor control. There's no way around it. But I can pull the visor down by hand and release it with the handle....a minor inconvience. Plus there is no hassle trying to find the right button to press (with gloves on). One BIG button on the side so now my wife will have (another) excuse to slap me on the side of the head! Haha!
