    I read somewhere that you need to remove the 10mm bolts at both sides of the seat and then slide the seat away from the locking tab and then remove it, however it usually only involves putting the key into the side cover and turning it the right and then lifting the rear of the seat (it has a locating tab at the front the seat) Then under the seat there is a plastic tool tray (?) which you can then remove, and under that is the battery holder.
    If you are buying a new battery, make sure you are buying one that matches your old battery in respect to:
    a. ampere rating (for eg 10Ah or whatever your bike needs)
    b. physical size
    c. terminal post type and which side is the positive and negative terminals on
    d. type of battery (many types eg lithium, AGM, lead acid)
