I used the longer bolts but feel they need to be 1/2" longer. This is the second set this has happened to, the others were the solid round ones with caps. (they broke after putting the bike on a trailer so I thought it might be because of that)This set broke in a parking lot far from home (requiring a trailer to get home!)
