Did NOT require any extra bolts. Packages says not recommended for 1800. However for Volusia you NEED special bolts. No way to tell that from this web site. They even suggest bolts for VTX and you don't need them ANd they suggest bolts for 1800 and MFG says not recommended. Someone needs to get their story straight. Don't buy for Volusia - full stop turns they hit speedometer. With windshileld you cannot see them.......NOT for Volusia. Review Details 6 out of 6 members found this review helpful. Mine are straight, 4 inch, billet. I bought them from a friend of mine who builds custom bikes. They came with a set of drag bars he ordered. After installing my forward controls, I needed the bars a little closer to me. These did the trick. Easy install. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. But worked out well and they make a real difference. Made a very tight u-turn no problem during my test ride. And they look great. Some people claim they strip. I heeved on mine because if they are going to fail, they are going to fail on install. They didn't. I also used all the washers including the rubber ones. Didn't notice a left and right. Maybe I lucked out. You do need to take it slow though. Connect the handle bar with the triple tree loose. Tighten the bar so that the tree can be tightened using the bar to hold the angle. Then re-adjust the handle bar for comfort and tighten all the way. Then check your bar is horizontal. Loosen and retighten the triple tree bolts if need be. And wella!. Now if they strip during riding, you won't get and update from me;-) Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

For one risers it went ok .. but damm I stripped the thread in the second risers............... arggggh..... 3- hopelfully, my friend found in his garage , 2 bolts, the right size, the right thread and about 1/4 to 1/2 inch longer.......... We use those bolt instead + all the washers... the bolt being longer we passed the str... Review Details 17 out of 18 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

There is a Left and a Right though. If your bars look crooked after install, you have them backwards. Make sure you cover your tank when installing. One bolt fell out of the riser ... stripped the inside of the riser. Luckily I had just stopped after a long ride to change my sunglasses. I must say I'm not sure if the brand name was "Big Bike Parts" but they look alike. Will have to ask the dealer that installed them. Very scary! Turned out these risers were never meant to be installed on the Suzuki Volusia ... it was a MISPRINT!!! Our dealer replaced them with another make at no charge. I had to remove them and I plan on taking them to a machine shop to have them rethreaded and put a stronger sleeve into the bottom..I can't trust these risers with nothing more than a weak bolt going through the center of them. The design would be alot better if the bolt came from the top downward...save your money and get something else... Review Details 8 out of 8 members found this review helpful.
