Look great and brought the bars back to a nice postion. Only had to rerout the clutch cable. Very happy with this product. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I bought these hoping that it would do its job, instead it almost turned a day of riding into a total nightmare. For starters, the part of the riser that contacts the tripple trees are way too small, and dont fit the hole snuggly, so if u dont get these things nice and tight, ur handles bars are going to slide around. 2nd.. While riding on a busy interstate (I-95) to be exact, i had my brother and a couple buddies of mine trailing behind me, when one of my dome caps came flying off, almost nailing the riders in the face at 70MPH!!!! 3rd, when i got home to b.... and moan, i decided to take off the other dome cap so it wouldnt look dumb. 4th, since i was in the process of doing all that i decided to see if i could get my risers to tighten down more onto the tripple trees so my handle bars would stop from sliding around when i turned, well that ended up with a stripped out riser, leasving me with a pile of paper weights... 5th.. i didnt even waste... I may spring for new brake line and clutch cables eventually to tilt and lower the handle bars just a bit more. Holiday sale price was too good to pass up. They had great weight to them, which gave the "illusion" that these beast would be durable. The installation went fairly easy, and worked with stock cabled and lines, but had them pulled pretty tight. Im not sure if i had a defected pair, but after a few hundred miles of riding i would have retighten these paper weights back down to my tripple tree, eventually the threading inside started to strip it self out causing them to be loose. The other bad thing about these are the dome caps, which are completely a pain in the ass to tighten down completely with a standard length allen wrench. All in matter of approximately 3 months, these things failed in sequence one after the other. Cruising about 65 down the interstate, a dome cap flew off and almost clucked the rider behind me in the face. Just before the arrival home, the handles bars were so lose, i couldnt even turn my wheel until the actual "riser" would meet contact against the t... I put them on in about half hour by myself. The brake line is a little tight but I am going to take it out of the holder it has and see if that gives it a little slack. It is not a big deal and wont hurt it but it wouldnt hurt to be a little longer. I have not done much riding yet but the little bit that I have done with these on makes all of the difference in the world!! You sit back so much more wich in turn makes you sit lower. They are a very heavy metal and the chrome on them bangs when you see it. If you get these you will love them!!! Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

However, on the bike the size fits well with everything else, sitting position is a lot better and the chrome just pops. Fitting was a bit difficult, because of the other stuff I had done, I had to remove the tank, to pull out the additional cable needed. The lower clips holding the cables was removed and the clutch cable rerouted out of the bottom guide. The brake line needed to be re orientated out of its guide, to give the extra length. The line does not need to be removed, but some slight bending of the banjoes and loosening of the brake lever end banjo was needed (care of air getting in) Since this part of the brake line turns with the bars, it is not a problem the line being a little tight Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Some of the cables are tight and needed a little bit of adjusting. A Much more comfortable ride. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Will fit with stock cables and hoses, but wouldn't hurt to go with a longer front brake line and relocate the clutch cable. Review Details 8 out of 8 members found this review helpful.
