(5 stars) reviewed on 04/01/11 byIvoryDawg (IvoryDawg) from Colorado Springs, CO, United States, for a 2004 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: I just installed these risers today. They look beautiful and seem to move bars into a better position...I won't really know until I get a chance to go out and ride with them on my bike. Installation was not too bad. Cables and brake lines are stretched pretty much to the max on my VTX1800R3 but all seems to work just fine. I am very anxious to go try them out. Bought adaptor bolts at the same time and those worked great as well. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

They look really good.I especially like the the domed caps.Oh, don't forget to get the adapter bolts the stock ones are too long. You really need some help when installing so you don't harm your tank. The Dremal cutting wheel took care of that real quick. Other than that it was a quick install. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Moves the bars to right spot for a more comfortable ride. You will want to get the dome shaped bolt covers for the triple tree bolts for a complete look. The bolt they suppliedwas about 1/2 inch to long, and was a little to hard to screw in had to use washers to take up the gap. Was at work and had to get it back togather to ride home. I lowered the ease of install because of it. But it looks great and the riding position has greatly improved - which is what I was after. I'm going to go after the plate and the bolt covers for the triple tree header next. Review Details 5 out of 6 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(5 stars) reviewed on 09/07/04 bySteve (HitmanH) from rowlett, TX, United States, for a 2002 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: Instructions were easy to follow. But the bolts that came with the risers, were about a half inch too long could not get the risers too tieten down on the triple tree. Had to buy shorter bolts I went ahead and bout another flat warsher and a lock warsher to make sure they stayed tight. After Igot them on and rode the bike I'm realy glad I bout them vary comfortable and adds more custom look. A GREAT BUY.Just bout them and put on maybe a week.
