Psyche (psyche44) from South Bay, CA, United States, for a '07 Red Darkside 900 Vulcan Custom wrote: Looks nice, much better than that old black hole. I had a little trouble installing it though with those stupid stand-offs. Those should be spot welded to the inside, or at least pressed like a PEMNUT. I ended up using a little chewing gum to hold all four screws and stand-offs in place while I found the holes to on the bike. Once on it looks real nice, but I had to remove the OEM horn as it looks like SH!T with this new shiny chrome. I had to move my air horns anyways soooo. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Frank/Bpla Lowe (Frank1955) from Chachoengsao, , Asia, for a 2008 900 Vulcan Custom wrote: Not that difficult to install; actually pretty straight forward. My advice is to have a roll of cello tape on hand though. Taping the spacers and the bolt ends will save you from the need to have nine arms to install this thing. The other observation is one that might make you a little crazy, as it did me. Your highway bars will be a b**** to reinstall, if you can do it at all. It took 2 hours and the brute strength of 3 men to reconnect the bars at the shift lever connection. Maybe in future Kuryakin might modify the design to accommodate a small space for the highway bar mount. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
