(5 stars) reviewed on 11/19/11 byChuck (Stewie56) from , MI, United States, for a 2009 Black 1300 VTX1300T Tourer wrote: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CUT THE WELDED NUTS ON YOUR FENDER. Install should only take about 20 minutes by yourself. Set the Fender rail in place over the bolt ends sticking out of the welded nuts. Then back out one bolt at a time and replace it with the longer bolt that is supplied and then put on the nut. Repeat with the other 3 bolts. Done in no time. Looks Great gives a nice retro look to the front. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

One of the bolts stripped and had to be drilled out. Otherwise, it makes the bike look fatter and meaner. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Hard to install because my mounting bolt nuts for the fender was welded on. Had to drop the front tire and take the fender off and cut nuts off. Lot of work and time. It truly gives the bike a retro front. It is a solid piece of chrome that was really easy to install. Just remember to take out one of the original bolts at a time, and replace with the extended fender bolts that came with the kit and you should have no problems. The brake side is a little tricky to install the lock nuts, but with the right wrench, you should be done in 30 minutes tops. I love this fender rail. Very nice piece of chrome. Took a little while to get on, no problem with the fitment, just my hand is too fat, had a little problem with the back nut on the right hand side because of the closeness of the disc brake. Someone with smaller hands would not have a problem. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
