One you figure out how to take the keyhole out, installation is a breeze. (I used needle-nose pliers and it came right off.) Nice accent piece. Can never hav too much chrome! You must remove your existing stock lock, easy enough...and install onto this one...easy enough again. The trouble is fitting it into place and getting it locked down snug. It has an extra ledge of plastic along the top that goes behind the frame bar, that the stock doesn't and makes it a bit of a hassle to put on. Like most of the plastic chrome...it's over priced. We both liked them at first, but found they get very bad surface scratches. Seems to be made from plastic painted with a chrome like paint.
