One of the spots had a dent in the back of it when I took out of package, used the butt-end of a screw driver and flattened it out; you have to look real hard to even see it, one of the clips to hold in the lenses assembly was twisted in a most unfavorable way, with a bit of work got it back into shape, works ok need to replace it. Followed the instructions, removed the windshield and turn signal bar. Bolted it up to the bike the way they say to, except the rubber pad gets all messed up when you tighten the bolts. So, I got out the old 1-8 inch x 1 inch double sided tape, only sticking to the mounting bracket I didn't remove the cover on the tape to the light bar, cut three X holes in it, pushed the bolts thru the tape, then tightened them up to the light bar (Sweet). After removing the turn signals from their bar, I removed each wire from the end wiring socket by lifting the tabs that hold them in, one you have to fish for using a ha... Instructions were very good. Hardest part was figuring out where to put the relay and switch, and locating trigger wire for relay. I used running light wire to tail-light for the trigger, screwed relay to top of toolbox, and put the switch on a pigtail in a 35mm film can, tucked under the left side-cover, since I plan to leave them on all the time. This is one sweet piece of chrome, and lights are brighter than oem. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(5 stars) reviewed on 01/15/06 byJason (in2freud) from Las Vegas, NV, United States, for a 2005 - Black/Silver 750 Shadow Aero wrote: Installation was easy since I did not do it myself. I had no problem giving this duty to a professional so I visited Carter Powersports in LV and they did a great job. Even they were impressed with the quality of the kit vs. other brands. It was the first one of this brand they had done but they liked the wiring kit and relay system vs. most other system which just tap into the headlight. The look was great especially since I Have already installed Silverstar headlamps into the driving light and headlight. By the way, this company has the WORST tech support ever. I lost a set screw on a trip and my turn signal fell completely off and was hanging. I stopped by a place and found one close enough. When I called the company to get new ones, they would not answer e-mails and when I called, they called and told me to contact a local area store. I told them I bought the part from them directly and they told me to contact someone else in the area because they could not assist. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Bad stuff: Shortly after instalation, one of the lights started rattling. I took it apart to put it some insulation. When I was putting it back together, the metal square that accepts the screw just broke off. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(5 stars) reviewed on 10/14/05 byMatt (mdholcomb) from Superior, CO, United States, for a Candy Dark Red 750 Shadow Aero wrote: excellent addition, not only in looks, but also in functionality. I do alot of riding at night and now I'm lighting up the road like crazy. I got the driving light kit with the mini bullet lights, rather than what is shown in here in the stock photo. See my picture for an example with the mini lights. The instructions are not so good, but the overall install was pretty simple. I did have to buy some additional 14 guage wire to extend the switch to the loacation I wanted. If you have any questions about the install, feel free to contact me. (5 stars) reviewed on 06/12/05 byNicole (aeromomma) from Webster, TX, United States, for a 2005 Black 750 Shadow Aero wrote: These look fantastic, and weren't too hard to install. The most troublesome part was taking the gas tank off to route the wires cleanly. I did that when I installed the air horns, so the second time around was easy, because I knew what I was doing this time. Didn't want a handle-bar mounted switch, so I used the included switch and drilled a hole in the front side of the right side panel. Now to get the visors... Update: Got the visors. See my review of the visors, as they were tough to install. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(5 stars) reviewed on 03/23/05 byaeroHR (aeroHR) from Bjelovar, Croatia, , Americas, for a 2004 black 750 Shadow Aero wrote: This product is one with an exelent quality and looks. It looks better than original hondaline chrome parts. Fantasticly well made and perfect fit on the bike with a room around spotlights for the windshield. Beautiful, elegant, "like original", super high quality, good instructions, etc. BUT, there must be a but, the original signal turn wires are 10 cm short, you must extend them - not a problem. And the switch - that is a special story. BBP delivers switch type "you drill a hole 13/16" in a board and put the switch in"???? This is not a car with a dashboard, it is a cruiser motocycle, "where I can drill a hole", maybe in the tank. Ha, ha! So, I am very, very satified with this lightbar. For its looks I bought it ten times again even it never lights. Still looking for a simple handlebar switch - an article impossible to find in Cratia and Austria, you do not belive it. Update: Sometimes on the big bumps it hits my front fender and scratch a paint. Review Details 5 out of 5 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
