If the VTX"s didn't have that lsjfj bolt permanently attached to the fender, and I wasn't sold on a solo seat, I don't know if I would have purchased. The smallest part stripped on me, so, 9 emails later, and a 2.40 part arrived in the mail. Without, the piece would have been useless. Good service on BBP's behalf though. CC just informed me that they do not carry parts, and washed their hands. Part pinches up against my seat although it is mounted as far back as possible. So what is it the rack or the seat, chicken & egg thing.Update, the rack is holding up,,IF you are considering purhasing this product do it because you like the way it looks,,not for its utilitarian features,,it is suggested that a maximum weight of 8 lbs be strapped to it,, Review Details  Was this review helpful to you? Three issues prevented me from using this rack on my VTX1300C: 1) the metal was jagged and might slice open a finger if you're not careful; 2) one of the two M4 button head screws on the rear mounting bracket was the wrong size; and, 3) the dual headed stud that attaches the rear of the rack to the fender was defective & not useable. I contacted Big Bike Parts Customer Service using their web site but have not received any response in 2 weeks. It would look nice if I could actually attach it to my bike. Oh, I almost forgot... if you have the Ultimate Solo Seat, this rack will pucker the seat in two spots and leave a gap in the middle. It won't look the same as the picture in the ad.
