I have an MC Enterprises crash bar and a Memphis shades Fats windshield with quick release mount. After removing the original light bar and attaching the mounting plate I placed the new light bar in place but the driving lights hit the windshield. I adjusted the windshield to get it to fit (barely) but the windshield is now not where I liked it. I put the turn signals in their mounting locations but when I turned the handle bars the turn signals now hit the crash bar. Not wanting to send this back I was determined to make it fit. I ended up rotating the new light bar 180 degrees so that the wire management port was now facing forward. This gave me exactly the amount of room I needed but the wires now came out the front instead of the back. A large piece of shrink wrap tubing cleaned up the wires and all is well. These things light up the night like nothing I... Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Make sure you use blue thread lock on everything. Get the turn signal adapters. I tossed the wiring diagram and switch idea. Instead located the powered wire under the gas tank that works in concert with the starting relay. In my case when you turn on the key, the lights do not come on until the motor (and alternator) are running just like with the stock headlight. With the engine running the light bar and headlight are on, the headlight keeps its normal high/low function. Key off.....all lights off. Simple... no worries about the battery draining. Don't leave them on with motor off or you might drain battery like I did 100km from help! Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Roger Helgerson (rshelgerson) from Longview, WA, United States, for a 2007, Candy Plasma Blue 900 Vulcan Custom wrote: This lightbar kit is not designed for mounting on a VN 900 Custom but I ordered a set of VN 900 Classic front turn signals and the installation went very well. The increase in lighting is truly amazing and the look is great. NOTE: I have a Memphis Shades Fats windshield and the lightbar fit just fine but I also have a set of Memphis Shades lowers and they had to be removed to install the lightbar. The lightbar is not compatable with fork mount lowers. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
