I put mine on my luggage rack. I looked for a flag pole for awhile and this was the best and least expensive. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(5 stars) reviewed on 07/20/11 byDan (yoda98513) from , WA, United States, for a 0 1600 Vulcan Nomad wrote: Very good quality, heavy duty clamp. Once you get the hang of positioning the rubber insert it goes on easy. The first one was quite frustrating, but then I discovered the secret. The second one went on easily. You may have trouble finding a place to mount it because you need access to the bottom of the clamp to tighten it. I had to rotate it down (so screw is up), tighten the screw, rotate it back up into position, then tighten the nut. Once installed it is rock solid. Some people have trouble with the wind rotating the clamp backwards. I mounted it so that the wind force is at a right angle to the clamp so that it is impossible to rotate backwards. (5 stars) reviewed on 06/23/10 byByron (bporre) from Cochise, AZ, United States, for a 2008 Red & Black 1600 Vulcan Nomad wrote: I attached one to the rear of the right side lower bag rail and one to the rear of the left side lower bag rail on my Nomad. Need to have three hands to get the rubber strip in the mounting halves, but when done they look great!!! It seems like they will gradually rotate down in the wind, but that is not the case with mine. I took them on a 120 mile round trip doing up to 85 MPH and they stayed put. Great finish and the gold eagle on top is a very nice touch that shows well. Just need a "Support Our Troops" flag for one side. GREAT item for a GREAT price!!! Look very good, and I bought another one for a POW flag. It was a little irritating to keep the rubber spacer in place while installing, but not too bad (use a piece of tape). Nice product. One for the American flag and one for the POW/MIA flag. They look great but am having problems keeping them up while driving down the hwy. They tend to want to lay down, no matter how tight I make them. Maybe a little glue on each side of the rubber will help. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful.
