It about killed me.

I have a stock 2007 Harley Streetglide.  I purchased this unit because I had a tire blow out once and wanted some security.  I installed them.  Pushed it back and forth in my garage and made sure I had clearance from the brake calipers, about a finger width.  I made sure the caps were snug and put the locking hardware on.  I proceeded to take my wife for a ride.   For about 45 minutes we were going through town at about 45 mph and all seemed fine.  I watched the pressure go up knowing they were working and then they stabilized.  We go on the highway for about 45 more minutes at about 65 mph.  Apparently, the short rubber valve stems, that are slightly angled, must flex with the weight and vibration of the sensors.  I noticed something felt a little odd when I changed lanes.  We came to a stop light to make a left turn, luckily it was red and we had to stop, when I accelerated to make the turn the bike shook violently.  I could barely get it off the road.  My display was still tellin...

Excellent value, peace of mind when riding long distances. 300-mile trip twice interrupted by flat rear tire (the plug was 'thrown' about 40 miles later on a very winding road); the TPMS being handle-bar mounted made it easy to see that the tire was losing pressure fast, enabling me to get off the road to a safe location both time before the tire went entirely flat. Earlier models display on a key fob that is very difficult to monitor as it's usually in your pocket; this model mounts either to the handle bar or clutch/brake mounts (both mounting options are included with TPMS).

Back in 2009, I purchased the 'pocket' version made by Big Bike Parts (model 13-315A) and thought it was a great safety item. However, I thought one drawback was the size of the display and the fact that I had to dig it out of my pocket to see the current tire pressure/alarm. Inconvenient when riding for sure! This unit eliminates that issue with the larger display and better visual/audible warnings.
