(4 stars) reviewed on 06/18/08 byJerry Weeks (jweeks) from Newport, WA, United States, for a 2002 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: This is an unobtrusive way to lock your helmet(s). Unfortunately, my helmet strap buckle simply slips over the miniature lock. I got a small piece of chain to slide over the stud and through the buckle. This works well for one or more helmets. For the money it's a good product. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(3 stars) reviewed on 06/10/08 bykenoman1956 (kenoman1956) from Henderson, NV, United States, for a 2007 1100 Shadow Spirit wrote: 6-9-08 Bought 2. One for each side, however, it does not fit on clutch side. the shaft size is smaller, and the result is a sloppy clutch handle. So when it says it fits both sides....They are Wrong. The only way you can get away with it is making a sleeve to fit over the shaft...and fit smoothly against the clutch handle hole. wish i only but one now....but its a buyer beware. Hope this helps somebody ... also be careful how you tighten the brake side, because it will cause to stick your brake handle. Had to add washer to correct this. (5 stars) reviewed on 12/11/07 byChartman Toole (RCToole) from Greenwood, IN, United States, for a 2010 EG Classic 1300 VTX1300R (S) Retro wrote: Purchased this on 12/11/07. Needed something to hang helmet on now that I have saddle bags. Holes on luggage rack work, but helmet touches rear fender. Inexpensive and good looking. Had to loosen and rotate the top throttle cable a little to be able to replace the existing lever bolt with this item, but was able to rotate it back almost to the factory position once installation was complete. Had to find somewhere to hang my helmet once I put hard bags on the ride. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(5 stars) reviewed on 07/15/06 byLarry Gammill (buildingmaker) from Irving, TX, United States, for a 2005 1600 Vulcan Classic wrote: I wasn't sure of the fit, but the 6mm bolt fit the VN 1600 like OEM. I have the Breakaway cruise control and it even fit with that. I put one on the brake lever and one on the clutch lever and put the locks and keys in my windshield bag. I had a little trouble with the brake and clutch action because I felt the need to tighten it a little more than tolerance, so I put a drop of Locktite on the bottom nut.
