With hard bags, the stock helmet lock is inaccesable. I think this is the cleanest way to have a place to secure your lid. It may just slow down the thief, but ya gotta do what ya can! Next time I''ll buy the lock that comes with it, I could not find one that fit for two weeks!

Just added this the other day. I had to do something because the stock helmet holder under the left rear fender just broke off one day. Must have been a poor weld. Glad I wasn't riding when it happened. This seems to work for me. I might add a second one so I can hang my helmet on either side.
