Purchased this on 12/11/07. Needed something to hang helmet on now that I have saddle bags. Holes on luggage rack work, but helmet touches rear fender. Inexpensive and good looking. Had to loosen and rotate the top throttle cable a little to be able to replace the existing lever bolt with this item, but was able to rotate it back almost to the factory position once installation was complete. Had to find somewhere to hang my helmet once I put hard bags on the ride.

Great for hanging your helmet on, especially if your sissybar is tied up with a bag on it. You have to loosen your throttle cables to swing them out of the way enough to install this. The top cable is a tight fit against the holder once you return it to its original position.

6mm stud will fit the front brake lever of a 1300 retro, will not fit the clutch (shoulder size too small). When I added bags I lost access to the stock helmet lock and I didnt like the relocation to the front fender. This is a good option and I am very pleased w/ it. Its really hard to get more than 1 helmet on it though.
